  • College Library

    The college has well-established library equipped with a large no. of Books related to various subjects, Reference Books, Encyclopaedias, Educational Journals, Newspapers, Magazines, Educational Surveys and many more. The Library is updated as per the requirements and curriculum, includes e-library facility with Wi-Fi zone for the students and well-ventilated reading section. The library is in the process of automation and have a book bank facility for poor and needy students.

    Rules for the Issue of Books
    • No student is permitted to enter the library without his/her identity-cum-library card.
    • The student will be issued 2 books for 14 days. A fine of Rs.10/- per day will be charged after the due date.
    • A book issued can be recalled anytime by the librarian.
    • Reference Books, Periodicals, Magazines and Newspapers will not to be issued, however they are accessible within the library.
    • In case of loss/damage of books borrowed, a student shall be liable to pay the cost of the book lost or defaced/damaged.
    • Students are expected to observe silence in the library.
    • Students shall keep their belongings at the library entrance with the library attendant.
    • The library will be closed once a year for stock checking. All the books borrowed must be returned as notified by the Principal/Librarian.
  • ICT Resource Centre

    ICT have become integral components of all teacher education programs in the country and is believed to integrate all the resource centre to provide cross curriculum support. College has fully air-conditioned Information and Communication Laboratory with printers and internet facility, where student teacher taught computer skills of for teaching media technologies. The students are trained to develop teaching learning material and supplementary devices as slide shows, working models and educational/ language games/ language software program to improve the communication skills of students. The college also has overhead projectors and all relevant audio-visual aids.

  • Curriculum Resource Centre

    Curriculum resource centre is well established where the student teachers are demonstrated and acquainted with the use of equipment adequately in their teaching for making the concepts in different subjects more understandable and interesting.

    In order to understand concepts, one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching. Effective teaching and learning especially in science involve seeing, handling, and manipulating real objects and materials. The students get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction and are encouraged to use at their own under the supervision of teachers. The resource is well equipped with Scientific Instruments, Models, Charts and Preserved Specimens.

    Micro teaching and Simulation teaching are the main features to demonstrate the teaching by the expert teacher educators who are trained in teaching with smart boards. For the seminars or literary events college has a magnificent theatre cum auditorium which is an asset to the college building. This auditorium is fitted with latest technology mike and LCD projector used for showing educational films and the videos based on the actual teaching learning situations. The college have a multipurpose hall for the general function and the seminars in the college.

  • Art & Craft Resource Centre

    Art and craft resource centre is well maintained with various craft equipment, items, requisite musical instruments and systems. The aim is to promote the cultural heritage and values through various programmes and activities in the college like academic, cultural, recreational and educational celebrations of all the important days and inter-house and out-campus participation. The college organises various competitions to develop the feeling of brotherhood and team spirit among student teachers.

    The college organized Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festivals in 2012 & 2013. Many a times Panjab University Zonal and Inter-Zonal Skill In Teaching and On the Spot Preparation of Teaching Aid Competitions. The college is committed to serve the society and nation at large.

    Varied optional subjects have been introduced which includes Candle Making, Music (Vocal & Instrumental), Gardening, Interior Decoration and others to develop hobbies and interests.

  • Psychological Resource Centre

    The college has a well-equipped psychology resource centre having more than 50 psychological tests and equipment where student teachers are exposed to psychological impressions. A career guidance cell is also established for guidance and counselling of students.

  • Hostel

    Hostel facility is provided separately for boy and girls. The hostel has well ventilated rooms with adequate facilities. Generator facility is also provided. Canteen and mess facility have been available to the students. These hostels keep a strict vigil by the authorities on the inmates and to maintain discipline of a very high order in the hostels.

    Rules regarding payment of Hostel Charges
    • The amount of security is refundable/ adjustable as and when the student leaves the hostel or the mess is closed permanently.
    • In case a student does not pay the hostel charges by the due date the Warden may ask the student vacate the hostel.
    • In order to vacate the hostel accommodation, the student is required to obtain the prior permission.
    • Once a student is admitted to the hostel he/she is liable to pay the hostel charges regularly and have no plea that he/she has stopped residing in the hostel.
  • Sports Facilities

    The college emphasizes on sports activities along with regular curriculum. The college has big playgrounds and no. of sports equipment both for outdoor and indoor games. A gymnasium is also provided to the students for the physical development. Student teachers are prepared for various games for participation at different levels like Volley ball, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Basketball, Table-Tennis, Athletics etc. Morning assembly is conducted daily by house on duty with the help of teacher in-charge. The students attend compulsorily the morning assembly that include various activities and yoga exercises for development of sound body and mind. The morning assembly is conducted turn by turn by the various houses. Prayer, thought for the day, news, devotional /patriotic songs, skits, lecture on current topics and national anthem are the major events to develop various social and life skills.

  • College Canteen

    Canteen is a part of college life. It tends to be the most popular place on campus not only physical refreshment but also for students bonding. The college has two spacious canteen in its campus.

  • Health Care Facilities

    A Healthy Body is a Guest-Chamber for Happiness Peace & Elation

    The college provides its students and staff with "Health-Care" facility in the college campus managed under the able guidance of qualified and experience Medical person who is available to all for medical assistance and first aid. The college Dispensary provides treatment of general ailments and performs minor surgical procedures and dressings.
